Meet The Team
Red Pontiac
Years Planted: 2022, 2023
Meet the Red Pontiac. This Red skinned tater is very easy to grow, and is tough in adverse conditions making it a great option for beginners. Produces medium sized taters, and can be used for anything. Definitely keeping this in the lineup for years to come.
Kennebec
Years Planted: 2022, 2023
Kennebec potatoes are by far the highest yielding potato variety we've planted to date. These potatoes can get GINORMOUS, making them great for dishes where you need peeled potatoes. They only have one fatal flaw: They really do come in ALL shapes and sizes. If you're going for ascetics, these are definitely not the best option. Overall however, they're great-tasting and make a mean mashed potato dish.
Yukon Gold
Years Planted: 2022, 2023
This variety is very sought after. The Yukon Gold is prized for it's unique gold color, great-tasting flavor, and perfect baseball sized shape, this is a must-have when it comes to potatoes. This variety also matures fast, so it's usually ready earlier in the season. All in all, this is one amazing spud.
Viking
Years Planted: 2022
Viking potatoes gave us a run for our money. Above ground these plants were by far the best looking, big and hearty. But below ground we ran into a few issues. This variety produced lots of big, red taters. But all of these potatoes had big issues with splitting. The ground in 2022 was very dry and hard, and this variety couldn't handle the strain. Maybe it would have worked out better is a different environment, but still enough is enough. As a result, they've been cut from the roster this planting season.
Adirondack Blue
Years Planted: 2023
This is definitely a unique potato. It's also kind of a test. With not much information on it, this will be an experiment. One thing is for sure though, it will definitely produce some interesting french fries. Would you try one?
Red Gold
Years Planted: 2023
This is another exotic variety. The Red Gold potato is in some ways, the best of both worlds. With the skin of a Red Pontiac and the flesh of a Yukon Gold, this variety is both durable and delicious.
